Tvarožná Lhota lies in the foothills of the White Carpathians. The village is southeast of Strážnice. Its first written mention dates from 1475.

The Church of St Anne was consecrated in 1933 and is built in the Functionalist style. Travičná Lookout Tower, dating from 2001, stands in the village's cadastral area near the Lučina recreational complex, with its viewing platform 34 metres high. Lučina reservoir dates from 1964. The nearby recreational area has around a thousand cottages.
