The village of Dolní Bojanovice lies 8 km west of Hodonín. The first mention of the village dates from 1196. In 2025, it had 3,076 residents.

The Baroque church of St Wenceslas, built in 1734, dominates the village square. Old underground passageways run beneath the cellars of the Zádruha wine cooperative, founded in the village in 1904.
